They lied about how much my transaction was and then continued to charge my card anyway..

We have no record of doing business with any one named Brooke Archer. Please forward an invoice so I can look into it. Thank you.

I've been debating on whether I should post this review or not. But I think it's important that other vehicle owners know what could happen if they bring their vehicle in. Do NOT assume that they will do what they say, and BEWARE of going here if you're a woman!! My husband and I brought my Subaru here because we were eager to avoid Ramsey, based on past experiences. We knew my car had a possible head gasket problem. Beckleys and our advisor Corey were more than happy to take that gravy job. We were happy that they worked with our warranty company, we ended up paying little. My husband made sure to ask Corey to have the tech go over it and see if everything else was in good condition. He said the car could easily go another 100,000 miles. After we got the car back, it started acting strange. After a few days of driving it I took it back to Beckleys and had Corey drive it so that he could see what I was talking about. He immediately told me the clutch was the problem. I'm not sure he has much experience driving manual, he seemed to stumble over it a lot. He was VERY condescending and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. We ended up having a new friend, that's a certified Subaru master tech, put in the clutch for much less. Still the problem persisted. He then took a look at the spark plugs, something the tech at Beckleys should have done. They were in such bad condition its a wonder my car could run at all. I feel like they didn't want to fix something so easy and cheap to do, because they would rather keep us coming back. They wanted us to pay over $1500 for a new clutch. Which of course backfired. I'll never recommend Beckleys to anyone. My car is now in great condition, no thanks to Corey and the techs at Beckleys.

If I understand your letter you are unhappy with the way Corey listened to you on your second visit to Beckley’s, and that your car needed more work after we told you it looked good. Regarding Corey, I’ve never heard a report like that before and typically receive very good reviews in this area. I spoke to him about your concerns. We want everyone to feel like they were treated respectfully. Regarding the additional work your car needed; First, the spark plugs. Based on no complaints of a running problem or check engine light and our physical inspection of the plugs, which looked serviceable, we chose to reuse them. Also, since your warranty company would not authorize replacement we thought you’d prefer to save the money. I’m sorry that decision didn’t work out. (Note - Were you aware your picture compares two different kinds of spark plugs?) Finally, the clutch. If I understand correctly, the problem is not whether your car needed a clutch since your Subaru friend also determined it needed replacement. The problem is why we didn’t tell you to replace it when the car was in the shop the first time. We assumed you knew how the clutch felt and were satisfied with it since you drove it in that way with no complaint. And, since it was your first visit, we wanted to resolve the problem you brought your car in for (oil leak) without additional expense. Obviously we were too optimistic about your clutch. I hope this addresses your concerns and trust the head gasket we replaced is working properly.

I had my oil changed at Beckley today and it was my first experience with them. The good: Everyone was very friendly and I enjoyed talking with them. The location is great since I work downtown, i was able to walk to work and back to pick up the vehicle. They did offer to give me a ride as well, which is awesome. The business is very clean and professional. The average/not so good: The manual in my vehicle states to only use 0W30 synthetic oil. The sheet I was given said that they put 5W30 in with the oil change. I called to ask about it and they said the sheet was wrong, they used 5W40, and that the oil they used is on an approved list from VW. This may or may not be an issue, but it does leave me wondering a little bit. I may call back to see if they can give the specific brand and details of the oil so I can look it up and set my mind at ease, but I'm not sure I will ever feel like I know for sure what was used. I found Beckley on the internet and according to their page, an oil change includes a car wash if the weather permits. My car did not get washed on a beautiful day. When I called back they said it was because they don't wash cars until after noon and I had my oil changed in the morning. Possibly they should update that on the web site. While a car wash isn't a huge deal, it was one of the reasons I was able to justify the $85 charge.

Great professionals! I live next to the shop and was having trouble with my car. I walked over a few minutes after closing time and the staff was very nice and willing to walk over and take a look. This experience speaks volumes and I will definitely be using their services in the future. I can’t remember the staff member’s name, but truly appreciate all of his help!

We were spending the night at a nearby hotel, arriving there at 8pm after a 13 hour drive with 5 kids. Headlights dimming and battery light came on, luckily on the last 10 miles. I woke up early and took my Honda Pilot to Beckley's and they replaced my Alternator in less than 2 hours and we were back on the road. I greatly appreciated Corey working me in and getting us back on the road with a shockingly short delay. THANK YOU!

Beckley was able to repair the issue with my Subaru, but damaged a related part during the repair that took multiple days to get, so I had to considerably inconvenience myself and others. They charged an additional amount for the part, and the best they could offer was to either leave the car in their lot unusable, or to charge an additional $100 to make it temporarily usable again. I certainly won't be back.

I’m sorry for your inconvenience, especially since it was your first experience here. The broken related part was a flexible rubber cover over the steering joints we were asked to replace. Looking back I should have anticipated the need for this part, considering the wear that required the steering repairs in the first place. You were charged for a new part because the original cover was too brittle to reuse. I understand that it was a Friday with no parts in town made the problem worse. I trust the car is working well, and again, I apologize for not providing a better first experience. Steve Beckley
