Have you seen the movie with a car named Christine? Well I have a Mercedes Panoramic Convertible Top (like Christine)that is giving Beckley repair shop and me heck — that’ll I’ll call Emma because as of yet the top does not work according to protocol regardless of $$$ one sinks into it. I got in — to put the top down — fine— went to put the top up, the roll bar shimmied and stopped halfway down, the roof top came out of the bag inched up part of the way then stopped. Drove home after fifteen minutes retried the initial up process nothing, tried the down for the roll bar— after a struggle it went down and the partial up roof top did finally go down but never up. This is my fourth time back to Beckley’s— nothing is free—-each time is costing me $$$$ and summer is only beginning and no smooth retractable top. Perhaps the fourth time will be the charm. This automotive department is top notch — I’m counting on Cory ( Mercedes Lead & his team) to finally trouble shoot the real problem before this top bankrupts me. As Arnold stated from his popular movie the “Terminator” —“I’ll be back.” Okay, Now Emma (Mercedes) is getting ridiculous. Latest diagnosis—roll bar— causing problems— which triggers other issues with the motor that controls the top. Old luxury cars with old problems— now we have to rebuild the motor that controls the top $$$. Stay tuned!!!
