My son has an old BMW he swears he’s keeping “forever.” Beckley keeps it alive, for a fair price, without ever pretending to like us. Don’t expect a warm hello on the phone. Don’t expect a hello at all, really — more of a grunt that means “yes, we are open, state your business.” Walk in and you may briefly wonder if you’ve interrupted something important. You haven’t. That’s just how they say good afternoon. But hand them a tired old import with a mystery noise, and they’ll figure it out, fix it right, and charge you like they actually respect your wallet. Turns out that’s a much rarer skill than customer service. If you want your car fixed, this is the place. If you want coddling or joy, go to a dealer and pay for it — they’ll smile the whole time they upsell you.
